Free parking was provided to the guests. Cleabarrow Tarn was 10 minutes walk away, we could easily visit it. No complaints whatsoever, the venue met requests.

We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived, the staff are some of the friendliest we have come across on our travels. There is so much attention to detail in the rooms and public areas, and it was a pleasure to just relax and spend time there. The food was excellent and the wine cellar an absolute treasure trove ! We enjoyed our stay very much.

The total Gilpin Lodge approach is completely guest-centric, nothing is too much trouble for the excellent staff in this beautiful, excellently managed hotel.

The staff was so friendly and went above and beyond our expectations. The hotel was "homey" without being stuffy. It felt like you were staying in a posh country home. The food was out of this world as well as the first class service! Do the breakfast and dinner combo with your room- it is well worth it!
The hotel is about 10-15 mins from the main town so be prepared to pay for a taxi (around 12 pounds).

Wonderful room- very comfortable with doors to seating in garden; very friendly staff; brilliant meal - 5* cuisine. Thoroughly recommend- one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in.

The Lodge is fabulous inside and out. The staff were brilliant, friendly, thoughtful, welcoming and very accommodating. Garden Suite was fantastic! Food was devine!
